The 2019 Melt Festival Comedy Gala at the Brisbane Powerhouse last night was a smorgasbord of gay, lesbian, and transgender stand-ups — kind of like hilarious tapas, only you are left feeling satisfied!

RED VELVET CUPCAKES Charming Cassie Workman shares her personal insights, which are unique, funny and endearing.

CHILLI PIZZA Tom Ballard looks harmless, but take a bite and you will be shocked by the spicy content. His sharp, hard-hitting observations will make you think and make you laugh.

WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE The hostess with the mostess, Rhys Nicholson’s million-miles-an-hour style is entertaining, self-deprecating and very, very funny! The perfect master of ceremonies.

What a wonderful celebration of the queer and the wonderful! We hope this becomes an annual event and judging from the crowds’ response we are certain it will.
