KHALAFALLA – SHARP HUMOUR WITH A HEART

A comedian who is not afraid to take a pun at himself is always easy to watch. Not taking yourself too seriously – that’s what comedy is about, right?

Well, Khaled Khalafalla does just that! His hour-long stand up, which is currently touring four Australian cities, is tears-in-your-eyes kind of comedy. Expect to still be laughing and re-telling the jokes as you exit the theatre.

Khalafalla is sharp, but his jokes come from a place of honesty. An Australian-Egyptian, he is a well-travelled comedian who has lived in eleven cities across three countries, despite his young age. He is also an actor, and you probably saw him in Ali’s Wedding! His humour is refreshingly inclusive, and even with the serious topics, he creates a feeling of unity in the audience and keeps them laughing non-stop.

This instantly likable guy is a mix of warm-natured humour and intelligence. It is live comedy that is hugely entertaining, of highest calibre, and right here in our back yard! Race, religion, politics, family idiosyncrasies, pets, and trips to a mechanic. Khaled stirs up the sensitive topics and mixes them seamlessly with some very relatable everyday comedy. I don’t know of any comedian who instructs his audience to request an encore, turns it into a joke, and totally pulls it off!

Raw, sharp, brilliant – I am already looking out for his next live show!
